Chronic pain and health impairment may not necessarily and exclusively indicate a salutogenesis not functioning properly. Salutogenesis, introduced by Aaron Antonsvsky, is a conceptualization of human health. In simple terms, it is a concept developed around biochemical, physical, biographical, and psychosocial factors that potentially keep a person healthy. However, factors other than the aforementioned may be linked to chronic pain and illness.

Open thoughts, fundamental questions of human existence may determine the exchange of ideas between patients with chronic long-term pain and sensitized to a variety of such essential questions of human existence.
